DAD is a retired doctor approaching the century mark in birthdays. In 1941, at the age of 19, Dad boarded B-24 bombers and flew 30 missions over German territory. He returned home to Mississippi like nothing happened. Dad married above his station, practiced eye doctoring for 50 years, shaped the future of his church and community, fathered and nurtured five (5) children of which the-writer- of-this-book is the oldest.
